Mr. Charles Wu is a practicing California attorney and              registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark office.  He has been practicing law for over 25 years. 

 

Mr. Wu is one of the founding members of the Orange County Asian American Bar Association (OCAABA). His other leadership roles are past president of the Taiwanese American           Lawyers Association, past president and one of the founding members of the Monte Jade Science & Technology Association – Southern California chapter, and served as a former director for the Orange County Bar Association and Foundation.

 

Mr. Wu's legal career highlight includes a U.S. Supreme Court opinion (543 U.S. 111).  The U.S. Supreme Court opinion set forth the trademark fair-use doctrine. Mr. Wu also has 5 other Court of Appeal published opinions.  Prior to becoming a        lawyer, Mr. Wu was an electrical engineer with IBM.

 

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center (AASCSC).
