CIVIC ENGAGMENT
AASCSC is a non-profit organization, based in Orange County, CA (our center is in Santa Ana), that serves all age groups and all members of our community. We believe in an inter-generational approach to building a stronger, healthier community through direct services, advocacy, and capacity building. At the heart of these efforts is the imperative to ensure health equity within our community.
To support active civic participation at all ages, AASCSC plans and develops opportunities for older adults to stay civically engaged. As many of AASCSC’s clients speak another language, AASCSC works closely with the Orange County Registrar of Voters and other community-based organizations to provide multilingual voting and election materials.
In addition, AASCSC helps clients:
- Locate Vote Centers and ballot drop boxes
- Request translated election materials and ballots
- Understand important updates from the Registrar of Voters’ office
- Receive referrals on where to access voting and election information
